On the day of Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo’s wedding, Dior uncovered the story of how they made a custom wedding dress for the Korean actress. Dior designed, sewed, and perfected the heavenly gown for the gorgeous angel, helping the bride’s dream come true!
A lot goes into designing and producing a custom Dior haute couture gown. Dior’s artistic director Maria Grazia Chiuri personally designed the dress for Song Hye Kyo, the sketch of which you can see in the picture above. Chiuri also designed Miranda Kerr’s wedding dress for her July 17 nuptial. By the way, Chiuri is the first woman to lead the house, according to Vogue.
Here, one of the “petites mains” (little hands) is placing the canvas pieces for a toile, presumably before the fitting. The bride might have had her fitting done in late September, when she and the soon-to-be-husband visited Paris.
Dior says their petites mains put an “almost unimaginable number of hours” working on the nitty-gritty of producing the gown.

Dior claims they make the bride’s dream come true. I mean, isn’t it every girl’s dream to walk down the aisle in a custom Dior dress? It sure was Song Hye Kyo’s dream, given that she had picked Dior to custom design her one-and-only wedding dress.
